I like to inspire and motivate people. I am a mother, I am truly inspired by my 3 wonderful children, I am an award-winning documentary film maker, singer-song writer, author, photojournalist, life-coach, vegan, animal lover, environmentalist, yoga teacher, traveler... My 32-year-old son has Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a terminal, progressive muscle wasting disease that debilitates his body, yet leaves his mind unaffected. The challenges this brings have been a catalyst for me to live in the present moment and to live with gratitude. I am Malaysian/English. My father is part Sri Lankan and part Kadazan, and my mother is English. I was raised in Kota Kinabalu, in the Malaysian state of Sabah, on the island of Borneo. I am proud to say I am Sabahan, and although I have lived in Australia, England, Canada and currently the USA, I still call Sabah home. I have undergraduate degrees in Asian History and Photojournalism, and a Masters in Counseling. I founded Coalition Duchenne/Duchenne Without Borders, a non profit that raises global awareness and funding for Duchenne. www.coalitionduchenne.org, www.Dustystrail.org. Find my songs on Spotify.
